Hello everyone. This post is just a friendly reminder that our event HeART: Creation As Resistance will be happening this week, on Thursday March 5th from 12:00pm to 3:30pm. In the event of a strike at York University, the event will NOT be cancelled. The Underground will still be open, and we will be happy to welcome all of you to our event! Hope to see you there.

A little bit about this event: The annual HeART event has noticeably become a performance space for womyn of colour, survivors of sexual assault, trans-womyn, indigenous womyn, and queer folks.
As the main organizer of the event, I am not putting restrictions on the theme and content. This means that performers will present work that uses language to address a variety of issues in a clear way, but performers/artists will also be able to employ ways of communicating that are not as clear, and based on conventional language (using elements of sound, movement, colour in isolation).
My hope for HeART 2015 Creation as Resistance is to create a space that is receptive to diverse performers and performances.
